National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (2010–Present)
In order to cooperate with the University’s department/graduate institute integration policy of its development plan, 6 departments were added during the 2012–2017 academic years, reaching a total of 12 departments and 12 graduate institutes where 11 departments and graduate institutes have completed their integrations.
College of Nursing: School of Nursing (including the master’s program, PhD program, in-service master’s program, and second bachelor’s degree), Department of Nurse-Midwifery and Women Health (including the Master’s program for Nursing and Midwifery), Department of Gerontological Health Care, Department of Health Allied Education and E-Learning (including the graduate program), the Graduate Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Integrated Nursing, and international degree programs: International Master’s Degree in Nursing and International Master’s Degree in Nursing and Midwifery.
College of Health Technology: The College of Health Technology has the Department of Health Care Management (including the master’s and in-service master’s programs), the Department of Information Management (including master’s classes), the Department of Leisure Industry and Health Promotion (including the master’s program), the Department of Long-Term Care (including the master’s program), the Department of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (including the master’s and in-service master’s program).
College of Human Development and Health: The College of Human Development and Health has the Department of Infant & Child Care (including the master’s program), the Department of Exercise and Health Sciences (including the master’s program and in-service master’s program), and the Department of Thanatology and Health Counseling (including the master’s program).
Smart Healthcare Interdisciplinary College: Established at the beginning of the 2021 academic year, the College will focus on teaching and counseling of the technically-gifted students from various departments, and continuously improve their technical capabilities through comprehensive planning of their curriculum. The Interdisciplinary College consists of two special programs: the “Smart Health Technology Special Program” and the “Gerontology Exercise and Health Special Program.” Students for these programs come from the University’s Special Achievements Screening-based Admission. The students of the “Smart Health Technology Special Program” are from the Department of Information Management and Health Care Management; the students of the “Gerontology Exercise and Health Sciences Special Program” are from the Department of Exercise and Health Sciences and the Department of Gerontological Health Care. Starting from the 2022 academic year, the “Gerontology Exercise and Health Sciences Special Program” was incorporated into the Department of Infant & Child Care and has been renamed as the “Gerontology Exercise and Health Sciences, and Infant & Child Care Special Program.”
The University has more than half a century’s worth of history and has cultivated many outstanding nursing, health care, and management talent for the society. After years of hard work and expectations from various parties, it was renamed as the “National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences” on August 1st, 2010 with the approval of the Ministry of Education, marking a new era in the University’s history. The University has a vision of “developing into a high-quality university of science and technology of healthcare and management” to cultivate high-quality health and management professionals. The University currently has four Colleges in the form of the College of Nursing, College of Human Development and Health, College of Health Technology, and the Smart Healthcare Interdisciplinary College in addition to the General Education Center. The curriculum of various departments covers all aspects from life from childbirth to living healthy lives, and even end-of-life care. The University’s education provides the cultivation of skills for physical and spiritual care, as well as professional and all-around skills.
