The University was renamed as the “Taiwan Provincial Taipei Vocational School of Nursing and Midwifery,” and the affiliated Women and Children Health Center was converted into a two-story building. |

The Taiwan Provincial Junior College was established with a three-year nursing department. |

Acquired around 16 acre (7 jia) of land around Shipai Road in Beitou District as the new site for the University, and the original site was temporarily relocated from Zhangzhou Road to Neijiang Street. |

The “Taiwan Provincial Taipei Vocational School of Nursing and Midwifery” was ordered to restructure into a 5-year junior college, and was merged into the “Taiwan Provincial Junior College of Nursing.” |

The affiliated Medical and Health center was rated as a Regional General Hospital and Teaching Hospital during the “1988s Taiwan Hospital Evaluation and Teaching Hospital Accreditation” conducted by the Executive Yuan Department of Health. |

The affiliated Medical and Health Center was approved and changed to an affiliated hospital. |

Began admitting students for a 2-year in-service education program. |

The 2-year in-service education program was changed to the Night Department and was extended to a 3-year program. |

The University was approved by the Ministry of Education to restructure into the “National Taipei College of Nursing” starting from the 1994 academic year. |

The University was restructured into the “National Taipei College of Nursing” with the Department of Nursing, and the Department of Medical and Nursing Management. The former has a 2-year and a 4-year program, while the latter has only a 2-year program that is divided into a nursing management group and a medical care management group. The original 3-year junior college and 2-year junior college programs stopped recruiting students. |

The University established an Extension Education Center. |

The 2-year Department of Infant and Child Care, and Division of Continuing Education were added. |

The University was approved to set up a master’s program in the form of the Graduate Institute of Nursing, an in-service master’s program in nursing, and a graduate program in medical management. |

The Education Program Center launched a kindergarten teacher education program, and a medical informatics program. The University was also approved to set up the Graduate Institute of Long-term Care, the Graduate Institute of Speech and Hearing Disorders and Sciences, the Graduate Institute of Health Allied Education, and the Graduate Institute of Nurse-Midwifery. |

The NTUNHS Affiliated Hospital and National Taiwan University Hospital signed an alliance to create the first vertical integration model of medical functions. |

The University was approved to set up the Graduate Institute of Tourism and Health Science, the Graduate Institute of Life and Death Education and Counseling, the Graduate Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Integrated Nursing, the Graduate Institute of Infant and Child Care, the Department of Exercise and Health Sciences (4-year junior college) and the Department of Information Management (2-year junior college). |

Accepted to undergo a general accreditation commissioned by the Ministry of Education, and obtained four 1st Class results. |

Completed the merger of the NTUNHS Affiliated Hospital and National Taiwan University Hospital. |

Facilities such as the “Spa Center” and “Tea Art Gallery” were established to provide a place for faculty and students to teach and rest in the University, thus creating an environment that perfectly allows nature and people to coexist in a holistic education environment. |

The example Affiliated Day Care Center of the University completed its outsourcing in accordance with the Act for Promotion of Private Participation in Infrastructure Projects, making it the first department to complete an outsourcing contract. |

The University built the first “Performance Examination Center” in the Country. In addition to establishing a professional certification system, it also carried out the cultivation of students’ practical capabilities. |

The University was approved by the Ministry of Education to change its name to the “National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences.” |

The University was approved to establish a 4-year program for the “Department of Thanatology and Health Counseling.” |

The University established Department of Long-term care (2-year program). |

The University established Department of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and Department of Leisure Industry and Health Promotion. |

The University’s “Gerontological Health Care and Internet of Things Demonstration Classroom” was completed and put into use, which was the first teaching field in Taiwan that combined healthcare and technology applications in living scenarios of the elderly. |

The University established Department of Gerontological Health Care, Department of Post Baccalaureate Nursing, Department of Midwifery and Women Health, and Department of Allied Health Education and Digital Learning (2-year Program). The Graduate Institute of Health Allied Education was renamed as the Graduate Institute of Allied Health Education and Digital Learning. |

The “Long-term Care Health Technology Practice Center of the College of Health Technology – COACH Classroom” was opened, and the University cooperated with partners in the Wanhua District to carry out Long-term Care 2.0. |

Department of Midwifery and Women Health was renamed as Department of Nurse-Midwifery and Women Health. |

The Graduate Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Integrated Nursing was combined into Department of Nursing, and renamed. Post Baccalaureate Program in Long-term Care was launched. |

The “Research Center for Healthcare Industry Innovation” was unveiled, which was the first specialty research center for healthcare in Taiwan. |

The “Precision Care for the Elderly Talent Cultivation Hub” was unveiled for a cross-discipline cooperation between the industry, government, academia, and research, and promoted the first-ever “Course-certificate Integration” program. |

The University was ranked 80th in the world for nursing in the “2020 ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects.” |
