1947

Provincial Taipei Vocational School of Medicine

Midwifery Special Program (2-year program system) was added.

Nursing Program (3-year program) was added.

Midwifery Program (3-year program) was added.

1948

Merged with “Taipei Senior Vocational School of Nursing”

Nursing and Midwifery Joint Training Program (4-year system) was added.

1953

Renamed as the “Taiwan Provincial Taipei Vocational School of Nursing and Midwifery”

Nursing specialization program (3-year program) was added.

1954

The Taiwan Provincial Junior College was established with a three-year nursing department.

1956

Midwifery Special Program (1-year program system) was added.

Public Health Nurse Training Program was established.

1963

The “Taiwan Provincial Taipei Vocational School of Nursing and Midwifery” was merged into the “Taiwan Provincial Junior College of Nursing.”

A 5-year midwifery department was added

1964

Began admitting students for a two-year night school program, including nursing education, public health nursing, nursing, and midwifery programs.

1981

Restructured as the “National Taipei Nursing College.

A 3-year nursing department was added

1981

A 2-year nursing department was added

1985

The 3-year nursing department began to recruit male students

1989

Began admitting students for a 2-year in-service nursing education program.

1994

Reconstructed as the “National Taipei College of Nursing”.

4-year and 2-year Nursing Program were established.

Department of Medical and Nursing Management (2-Year program) was established.

1996

Department of Infant & Child Care (2-year program) was established.

1999

The Graduate Institute of Nursing and the Graduate Institute of medical and nursing management were established.

2000

The Graduate Institute of long-term care, the Graduate Institute of Speech and Hearing Disorders and Sciences, the Graduate Institute of Nurse-Midwifery, and the Graduate Institute of Health Allied Education were established.

2001

Department of Infant & Child Care for 4-year undergraduate program was added.

The Graduate Institute of Infant and Child Care, the Graduate Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Integrated Nursing, the Graduate Institute of Tourism and Health Science, and the Graduate Institute of Life and Death Education and Counseling were established.

2002

Department of Exercise and Health Sciences for 4-year program was added.

Department of Information Management for 2-year program was added.

2004

The Graduate Institute of Information Management was established.

2005

PhD program of Nursing was Established.

2007

The Graduate Institute of Exercise and Health Sciences and The Graduate Institute of International nursing were Established.

2008

Department of Medical and Nursing Management and Department of Information Management for 4-year programs were established respectively.

Department of Medical and Nursing Management was renamed as Department of Heath Industry Management.

2010

Reconstructed as the “National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences”.

The College of Heath Industry Management was established.

2012

4-year undergraduate program in the form of “Department of Thanatology and Health Counseling” was established. 

2014

Department of Long-term care (2-year program) was established.

The College of Heath Industry Management was renamed as College of Health Technology. 

2015

Department of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, Department of Leisure Industry and Health Promotion, and the Graduate Institute of Exercise and Health Science were established respectively.

2016

Department of Gerontological Health Care, Department of Post Baccalaureate Nursing, Department of Midwifery and Women Health, and Department of Allied Health Education and Digital Learning (2-year Program) were established respectively.

The Graduate Institute of Health Allied Education was renamed as the Graduate Institute of Allied Health Education and Digital Learning.

2018

Department of Midwifery and Women Health was renamed as Department of Nurse-Midwifery and Women Health.

2019

The Graduate Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Integrated Nursing was combined into Department of Nursing, and renamed.

Post Baccalaureate Program in Long-term Care was launched.

2021

The Smart Healthcare Interdisciplinary College and the Graduate Institute of Gerontological Health Care were established.
